B – Benjamin - Sophomore (History)

Major: History, but secretly wants to be a writer.

I chose History because it felt like the safest option. Everyone always told me, “You need a practical degree,” so I figured this would be it. But deep down, I want to write. I’ve been journaling since I was 10, and there’s this urge in me to create stories, to speak truths that haven’t been told. It’s not easy. My parents don’t understand. Sometimes, I pray for courage, for the strength to do what my heart really wants. I don’t know if I’ll ever be good enough to live out my dream, but I keep going because writing is what feels right.
